Kingston Wildcats Junior national league Teams
Kingston Wildcats is proud to compete in the National Basketball League (NBL), representing our club at the highest level of junior basketball in the country. Our U14, U16, and U18 teams are part of the NBL, which is organised by Basketball England and brings together the best junior talent from across the country to compete in a structured, national competition.
What is the National Basketball League (NBL)?
The National Basketball League (NBL) is the premier competition for basketball in England. It is run by Basketball England, the sport’s governing body, and features various divisions and age groups, including juniors and seniors. The NBL provides a platform for the country's most talented young players to showcase their skills, develop their abilities, and gain invaluable experience competing against top-level competition.

Kingston Wildcats U14, U16, and U18 National League Teams
At Kingston Wildcats, our Junior National League teams (U14, U16, and U18) are focused on developing players who are ready to compete at a higher level. We provide the coaching, facilities, and competitive opportunities for players to challenge themselves and grow in their basketball careers.
U14 National League Team
Our U14 team is made up of young players with a passion for the game and a desire to improve. Competing in the NBL provides them with an introduction to high-level basketball, where they can refine their fundamental skills, learn teamwork, and gain valuable match experience.
Training Times:
Tuesdays: 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Wednesdays: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: Chessington Sports CentreCompetitions:
The U14 team competes in the NBL’s London II Conference, giving them the opportunity to play against strong teams from across the region. The focus is on development, with players learning the importance of discipline, focus, and teamwork.
U16 National League Team
Our U16 team takes players who have already honed their basketball fundamentals and prepares them for the next step in their competitive journey. The U16 National League competition is highly competitive and requires dedication both on and off the court.

Tuesdays: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Wednesdays: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: Chessington Sports CentreCompetitions:
Competing in the NBL’s U16 London Conference IV league, this team faces some of the top junior talent in the country. Players continue to develop their individual skills while focusing on teamwork, basketball IQ, and mental toughness.
U18 National League Team
The U18 National League team is for our most advanced junior players, often those preparing to transition to senior-level basketball. This team competes in the highest levels of junior basketball in the NBL and provides players with exposure to scouts, coaches, and opportunities to advance to higher levels of the game.
Training Times:
Tuesdays: 8:30pm - 10:00pm
Thursdays: 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Location: Chessington Sports CentreCompetitions:
The U18 team competes in the NBL’s South II Conference. The focus here is on advanced tactics, game management, and leadership. Players at this level are serious about their development and often aspire to continue their basketball careers in the senior leagues or college/university programmes.
