Kingston Wildcats CVL Teams

The Kingston Wildcats School of Basketball proudly participates in the Central Venue Leagues (CVL), offering young players an opportunity to develop their basketball skills in a fun, competitive environment. Our CVL teams range from U10 to U18, giving players across different age groups the chance to represent the Wildcats and compete against other teams in the county.

About the Surrey Basketball Association (SBA)

The Surrey Basketball Association (SBA) is the governing body for basketball across Surrey and represents Basketball England, the national governing body for the sport. The SBA oversees competitive basketball leagues at both junior and senior levels, with the goal of developing players and growing the sport within the county.

SBA runs a variety of leagues, including:

  • Senior Men’s & Women’s Leagues

  • U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18 Junior Leagues (Central Venue Leagues - CVL)

The SBA’s commitment to developing junior players ensures that all participants, from the youngest to the most experienced, have the chance to improve their skills and compete in a structured, supportive environment. The leagues are designed to cater to all ability levels, making basketball accessible to everyone.

What Is the Central Venue League (CVL)?

The Central Venue League (CVL) format allows for multiple games to be played at a single location, usually on weekends, making it easier for teams to participate in competitive games without extensive travel. The CVL provides players with regular opportunities to test their skills in competitive matchups against other local teams, while developing teamwork, game understanding, and sportsmanship.

For the Kingston Wildcats, the CVL is a fantastic stepping stone for players looking to gain experience in structured games. Whether players are new to the sport or are working their way up through the ranks, the CVL provides a platform to grow and improve.

Why Join a CVL Team?

Playing for a Kingston Wildcats CVL team is an exciting opportunity for players to:

  • Develop basketball skills in a real-game environment.

  • Experience team competition and improve teamwork.

  • Test themselves against other players in their age group from across Surrey.

  • Progress through the ranks from U10 to U18, as they build experience.

Our CVL teams train regularly and compete in weekend fixtures, giving players the perfect balance of skill development and game-day experience. Each season, the CVL helps players grow in confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy the thrill of competitive basketball.
